An Ogden women recently found what she thinks might be a camel spider in her house. Camel spiders are not indigenous to Utah so the homeowner was a tad surprised to find it. Camel spiders average a length of about 6 inches. Can you imagine a spider that big?!? Nevermind; I don’t even want to think about it. In an article in the Salt Lake Tribune she is quoted saying the gigantic spider was “kind of cool”. But she was surprised that when she tried to pick it up it reared back–ready for an attack.
My first question is why in the world would she try to pick up a 6 inch long spider?! I can’t believe anyone would stick their hand near that thing–no one sane, at least.
I agree with one article commenter when s/he said, “6 INCHES???? I would move out and let the spider have the house!”
I mean, seriously. I get itchy all over from just thinking about normal, little spiders. I can’t imagine the spasms my body would be wracked with coming across a six inch long spider. It makes me itch just thinking about it.
