So I’ve noticed that whenever I’m watching American Idol (guilty pleasure, sorry) the only commercial portion used by Fox13 is to tell you that they’ll be discussing the results of American Idol. That doesn’t seem like much news to me. I mean, I’m watching the show. Right now. I know which contestants the judges liked and which they didn’t. Because I’m watching the show. Right now.
That’s like a commercial coming on right before a scene in an action movie that says “find out who Bond shot, tonight at 11.” Then it cuts back to the movie where Bond shoots Dr. Frankenbright. It seems like that would be pretty valuable ad space due to the popularity of American Idol. Why waste it on non-news? C’mon Fox 13.
