Every day I drive past Summit Fasteners, a company located west of I-15 on Center Street in Orem.
I always notice that the sign says funny things out front - here are some examples:
- Our last job sucked
- Your so vain, you probably think that this sign is about you (they did have you’re spelled wrong, btw)
- Well, it looks like we’re going to make it
- We keep our nails inside, not out in the rain like they do
Apparently they have a chip on their shoulders, but I’m having a hard time figuring out who “they” are (their competitors).
I’m guessing that a couple of guys worked at some local company, didn’t like it and started their own company. It’s not a big deal either way, I just want to know what the story here is!

I usually come in pretty early and leave pretty late but I will try to stop by sometime - we would love it if you would share the story with utahgossip, as well - let me know if you’re interested

I saw the new signs when I was driving by - something like:
How do you beat summit? Take the f out of way!
I wasn’t sure what it meant - want to share?
