Utah Gossip

The Salt Lake Tribune reports a story about some robbers who intended to steal money from a credit union on Canyon Rd in Provo. The attempt was foiled by one of their accomplices who was actually a confidential informant. This isn’t usually much of a story and wouldn’t be even worth mentioning except in light of knowing the would-be robbers intended escape plan.

Patrick Jay Burr and his wife, Heather, had everything scoped out, including the getaway. This included grabbing the money and making it to the Provo river for a casual float in some inner tubes as they flee to safety. Mind you, the Provo river isn’t very quick once it reaches Utah valley. I could only imagine such a chase scene on TV.

“Pull over!” yells a cop as he takes a casual stroll along the bike trail. “Never!” replies the Burrs as they push off of a rock. The cop pulls out a dart gun and *POP* end of chase with a bunch of wet cash. Shoot, maybe they could bring some Tide and do some money laundering on the float. Ah, forgive me.
