I met a grandma the other day who really wanted to surprise her granddaughter (and a few friends) with tickets to the upcoming Stadium of Fire concert at BYU. There was only one problem – within minutes of going on sale all of the tickets were sold.
OK, I figured it was just a popular show and I know how all those little girls love Hannah Montana so I didn’t think much of it. Then I met some guys, though, who bought tickets just to resell to other people – lame. A show at BYU… and we’re dealing with scalpers?!
Oh well – I guess the people who really want them will find them on sites like tickex… just sucks that the people who really wanted them have to pay more because of these opportunists.

They must be desperate for some easy money. It all seems like more work than it’s worth…but I bet they’re awfully proud of themselves.

I’ve used that site before and have been very pleased, I found these articles on them and I think what they are doing will help to eliminate or at least reduce the business of scalping.

Good call…we started the site a year ago and wrote weekly posts on it for a year so we could get one link to tickex.
Besides, what’s wrong with giving tickex a plug? They provide a helpful service by aggregating results from numerous reputable sources like stubhub, ticketmaster, ebay, etc. It gives the average concert-goer more options.
