Crazy Woman Arrested

November 16th, 2007 · 3 Comments

Continuing along the lines of our last post on Utah’s weak Animal Protection Laws, apparently a woman named Christina Hobbs was arrested yesterday in Salt Lake City for some odd behavior with animals and her roommate. Sadly, she decapitated her pet rabbit and showed the severed head to her roommate saying, “I finally did it.”

Apparently, they then began arguing and the roommate claims that Hobbs held a knife to his chest and grabbed their dog. He wrestled the knife away and Hobbs ran to the roof. She’s now in jail and on suicide watch.

This obviously shows the strong correlation between abusing animals and abusing people. We need laws to protect ourselves from these crazy people!

I am a very close family friend and this story was blown so far out of proportion (thanks to the media as usual). Her pet was already dead. She did not kill it. As for her roommate, they had an argument and he was basically trying to get the knife away from her. They are still friends. Find something real to worry about people. And beside the point, IT WAS A RABBIT! I don’t see anybody getting all worked up about people who kill and eat rabbits. She didn’t do it. There is forensic evidence that I could share for those of you who would like to obsess about this more.

I hope she decapitates herself. What a sicko.

Forensic evidence? Righhttt. And frankly, I don’t know of any who kills and eats rabbits. But if I did, I definitely would get all “worked up” over it.
