I haven’t been to the zoo since a 6th grade fieldtrip, and for good reason; zoos are not exactly my idea of an enjoyable, odor-free, relaxing time. However, I have decided to awaken the child within and make a trip to see Antoine, the white alligator (with piercing blue eyes) on loan to Salt Lake City’s Hogle Zoo through October. Zoo officials say currently there are only 10 known white alligators in the world and seeing another one ever again is not likely. Did I mention this thing has bright blue eyes? Count me in.
