Women Tech Council Award Finalists

Founded in 2007, Utah’s very own Women Tech Council is an organization devoted to providing leadership and advocacy for women working within technology companies and careers. The Women Tech Council recently announced the award finalists for the 2009 Annual Women Tech Awards, which spotlights women in the Utah community who are “driving innovation and leading technology companies.” Congrats to all the finalists!

I thought I’d share the good word with y’all…John Mayer and Colbie Caillat are touring together and headed to SLC this summer.

Now, whether or not you think Mayer is a complete d-bag (which many do), there’s no denying that homeboy gots talent. I’ve seen him twice and he can jam like nobody’s business (just try not to focus on the goofy faces he makes constantly while playing). Seriously…he’s amazing. And while I’ve never seen Colbie live, I’ve heard nothing but good things about her shows. The show is July 21 at the USANA Ampitheater. See you there!

Utah Gossip has just learned (via The SL Tribune) that this year’s Stadium of Fire will be headlined by none other than Miley Cyrus! Oh snap!

Miley will be joined by host, Glenn Beck and the Blue Man Group. The concert is July 4th and tickets, which are expected to sell out quickly, go on sale Friday. Most certainly underage eye candy for all you Provo pervs. Just kidding.
