So perhaps this is nothing more than a shameless plug, but I figure Utah Gossip is as good a forum as any to get the word out about excellent and one-of-a-kind businesses throughout the state….right?
Well, I came across one such enterprise last weekend. I attended my cousin’s wedding in the quaint and scenic town of Midway, nestled in the mountains of Provo Canyon. Her reception was picturesque, held at the well-known Edelweiss Center. However, it was not the venue (albeit gorgeous) that I was awe-struck by, but rather the food.
Those who know me may not find that so surprising (I do have a special place in my heart for frankly, most things edible), but believe you me, this was some of the finest cuisine I have ever had.
The menu? Impeccable demi-plates filled with tender shrimp and sweet cocktail sauce, fresh strawberries with a whipped cream cheese dipping sauce, perfectly pink filet mignon, and pasta with vodka sauce and pine nuts, just to name a few of the dishes. I know it may sound only mediocre, but it truly was phenomenal; I have a hard time articulating just how fabulous this food was. I certainly don’t do it justice.
And not only was the food amazing, the service was great…the staff was friendly and courteous, the buffet always full, and I don’t think my glass was half empty once.
Anyways, if you are looking for a superb Utah caterer for your wedding, look into Culinary Crafts, a local favorite caterer for both weddings and corporate events. And apparently they have won Best of State caterer five years in a row. How’s that for a reference?
