“101.5 The Eagle : Salt Lake City!” is rumored to be considering changing their nickname and jingle to:
”101.5 The Beagle! Salt Lake Snoopy!” We can’t figure out whether this is a joke but I have heard it from multiple people now – would a radio station really change their nickname and jingle to something so silly?
Anybody who could confirm or deny this rumor would be much appreciated.

Normally I’d say this sounds bogus, but it is a country station… and I’ve seen more beagles than eagles in Utah…

Are you guys serious? This sounds like something made up by a 10-year old. No serious radio station would change their jingle to “Salt Lake Snoopy” – it makes no sense. Plus they would probably have legal issues with Peanuts…

Chris – radio stations do all kinds of things to get people’s attention. Considering that they have been trailing “The Bull” for quite a while I wouldn’t put it past them.
That being said I would be surprised if they actually change the jingle – we’ll see how it plays out.
